SPN Cinema Challenge

Hello, Round 5 participants! While we never want to make changes in the middle of a round, we hope this one will benefit more people than it inconveniences. We've decided that since this is a small challenge and not a big bang-type, and since it happens right during a busy season for fandom challenges, that the draft requirement acts as a deterrent for some people to participate. So effective immediately we are removing the draft requirement. Some of you have already turned in your drafts and for that we humbly apologize; we very much appreciated the effort you put into getting them in on time.

To replace the draft, please just complete our poll so we can estimate how many people will still be participating in the round.

Round 5 Posting Schedule is here! The following details posting dates from May 5-29. Friday, May 30 is the free-for-all, last-chance posting for anyone to finish/post their contributions if they were unable to make their scheduled date.

CLAIMS FOR ROUND FIVE ARE OFFICIALLY CLOSED

First round of claims has now officially ended, and now we are on to the second round! This round will be open until 10PM EST on Thursday, March 6th, after which all claims are final.

PLEASE NOTE that acknowledging/accepting claims this morning may be a bit on and off as someone may be at work and have meetings a bit tied up. Be patient and I will be round to handle the claims as soon as possible. Claims will be accepted per the timing in the post, so as long as you are the first comment for a specific film in a specific medium, you will be good! I apologize for any inconvenience!

As a refresher:

- Authors, artists and audio workers can choose to collaborate on one piece - just state that you are doing so in the claims post. Only one of you needs to claim your film!

- If you've claimed a film during the first round of claims, note that you may now claim another.

- Each film can only be chosen once per medium (fic, art, and audio). Remember that original films and their remakes count as one film - claiming "Rear Window" also claims "Disturbia" - and you are free to use things found in either to incorporate into your fanwork. Films that are part of a series, however, are counted as individual films and fanworks should stay confined to the particular claimed film (i.e., claiming "Raiders of the Lost Ark" does not entitle you to the entire Indiana Jones series.

Remember that this is your last chance to claim a film. After this post closes on March 6th, claims will be closed permanently.

Please note that each claim must be made in a new comment (for clarification, each claim refers to the group of three films; you do not need to make a new comment for each new film)! If you're claiming a film for a friend as well as yourself, they must go in separate comments - but also be sure to state your friend's claim as a PROXY CLAIM. If you make multiple claims in one comment, only the first will be counted - we want to keep this as fair as possible!

Once you've posted, have a little patience and the mod will come by and confirm your film choice (with precedence going to the first available film you've listed, so make sure you list your film choices in the order you'd most like to do them in). If by some stroke of misfortune all three of your film choices have already been claimed, the mod will let you know and then you can make a new claim with three new films.

Just a reminder that claims for Round 5 start on Saturday, March 1st at 9am CST. A claims post will go up at that time and and will remain up until midnight CST on Monday, March 3rd. Remember that films can only be claimed once per medium (fic, art, audio) per round. You can use a proxy to sign up for you if you wish.

A second claims post will go up Tuesday, March 4 at 9am CST to allow artists, writers, podficcers, etc., to claim a second movie to adapt.
