spn_cinema Round 10 is in the works! We're ready for another fantastic year and can't wait to see what you all have for us!

In the immediate future, we're looking for a new mod to join the team and hope you're out there somewhere ... It's a pretty lowkey position with some need to be attentive, but we don't bite and only require a few specifics:

* basic HTML for LJ and Tumblr posting
* attention to detail for claims posts and scheduling
* short- to part-time availability to scan emails, comments, tweets, etc., as well as sharing fanworks to twitter on a daily basis
* enthusiasm for SPN_Cinema and supporting all of our fabulous creators!

We'd also love to work with someone to revamp our graphics/styles on LJ and Tumblr - if you are both of the modly and graphics persuasion, even better!

We've had a great turnout yesterday for the first round of claims. We are keeping the first round open for the next 24 hours to give folks a chance at their first pick.

Second Round Claims will open tomorrow at 10am CST and remain open for 24 hours. At that time, if you have already claimed a movie, you can choose a second to play with. If you have not yet chosen a movie, you can still claim at any time between now and when Round 2 closes at 10am CST on Tuesday.

I don't have a livejournal account. Can I still participate?
We got you! Claims will be open for anonymous comments; your claiming info must include your preferred platform where you will post your work. The mods will then work with you to get your piece posted to the community on your scheduled day. If you are working in a collaboration and your partner(s) have a livejournal, then it is preferred they post for your collective pieces. In short, so long as you have a platform to post and will be responsive via email with the mods, you are welcome to join us!

A few folks have mentioned needing betas for their work .. so, here is a place to volunteer to help out and for participants to find betas. If you're interested in helping to beta fanworks, use the form below and comment to this post.

Note that we will not be matching up betas with those in need; please contact the beta volunteer directly.

With the big shift to additional platforms, we just opened the official SPN_Cinema_Mod Twitter! Follow for news and announcements (such as draft deadlines and posting schedule updates) as well as daily links to October's submissions, and general tomfoolery.



ETA: We are NOT abandoning the comm AT ALL. We are using Twitter as an additional place to advertise the goings-on of the community. For example, we posted the schedule here and also tweeted it out on the mod's twitter. When fanworks begin posting in October, we will use the twitter to share links to the submissions and hopefully open your works up to a wider audience. We may also playfully harass our members from time to time with cheesy movie quotes and/or soft kicks in the butt to meet deadlines :)

Hey folks! We're coming around the bend on the final posting for Round 6. Amnesty Day is a last-minute dash to get in the comm for any fanworks not yet posted in this round. This special posting day is this Sunday, October 18. Timewise, just make sure it's Oct 18 somewhere in the world, and you're A-OKAY!

Following Amnesty Day, we will post the full Round 6 Masterlist (though that may take a few days, be patient with us).

We're excited to see what all comes funneling through and hope you all have enjoy(ed) yourselves this round!

Somehow all of July snuck right past us and now we're into August! Meaning less than a month (26 days if you're counting at home) until posting begins!

Remember, it's all open posting so you can post your fanwork to the comm any time between September 1, 12:01am and September 30, 11:59pm.

In the past, we have run multiple claiming rounds. At this time you may claim up to two new films ... meaning any participant can have up to three total claims between Round 1 & 2.
