Cinema Round 7 Draft Information

Here we go ladies and gents! We will post information closer to the posting period regarding how you post. The schedule will go up next ... here is your information regarding draft submissions due Monday, September 5 @ 11:59 pm (in your corner of the world). As always, the drafts do not need to be great, thorough, complete, or even make sense. We only review to judge the validity of you completing the challenge. We reinstated drafts this round to keep people on schedule as we've seen a big drop off in participation since we took away drafts. We hope this helps everyone!

As a quick refresher on Round 7 dates:
August 6 - Claims open
August 7 - Claims close
August 7 - Second claims open
August 9 - Second claims close
September 5 - Rough drafts are due
October 3 - Posting begins
October 31 - Free-for-all/posting ends

Cinema Round 7 Posting Schedule!

The moment we've all been dreading ... *drumroll* ... Cinema's Round 7 Posting Schedule!

As a reminder: You may post at any time on your scheduled date, so long as it is midnight in some your corner of the world. If you miss your posting date and stay committed to your story, you may post on Monday October 31, which is a free-for-all/amnesty posting date.

Conflicts with your scheduled date?
We know that we cannot meet everyone's specific schedule needs, but we tried our best. This year we are allowing date switch requests up until Monday October 5. At that time, we will have a better picture on draft submissions and the number of posts (thus the open slots) and will try to shift you as best as possible. Email the Cinema_Mod account to request your date change; email subject must read "Date Change Request: [username]. This must be a separate email than your draft submission. We will get back to you once we have checked in all drafts.

Follow the Mod's Twitter!

With the big shift to additional platforms, we just opened the official SPN_Cinema_Mod Twitter! Follow for news and announcements (such as draft deadlines and posting schedule updates) as well as daily links to October's submissions, and general tomfoolery.



ETA: We are NOT abandoning the comm AT ALL. We are using Twitter as an additional place to advertise the goings-on of the community. For example, we posted the schedule here and also tweeted it out on the mod's twitter. When fanworks begin posting in October, we will use the twitter to share links to the submissions and hopefully open your works up to a wider audience. We may also playfully harass our members from time to time with cheesy movie quotes and/or soft kicks in the butt to meet deadlines :)
