Coming Soon! The Cinema Genre Challenge!

cinema-mod.livejournal.comThis Wednesday, October 1, 10am CST, will kick off our very first Cinema Genre Challenge! We hope to see you all pop around on that date and get things going ... In the meantime, here are the rules and info for the challenge. Banners for advertising will be up soonish!
Overall Challenge
For Fandom to prompt films in a specified genre, claim films to fanwork, and post the glorious fruits of our labor!
1. The Mods will announce a genre (i.e. western, romcom, war, horror, musical, crime, a decade, etc.) on Wed, Oct 1, 10am CST. You then have 48 hours to prompt as many films as you'd like to see recreated via fanwork(s) from others.
2. When prompting is over and the claims post comes up, you claim a film you'd like to write, art, podfic, etc.
3. During the posting week, post your fanwork(s) to your journal and cross-post to the comm for all to enjoy!
4. Anyone can play! You can prompt without having to claim a film, and you can claim a film even if you didn’t prompt one. Readers, writers, artists, vidders, podficcers, mixers, and any others I’ve left out … You are all invited to play!
5. As of now, this challenge will run every other month. Each round will have a new genre. At a later date, we will assess participation and frequency of the rounds.
