Mod: Monthly Challenges?

Hi all!

We come with ideas! Or at least, just one idea that can mutate into others ... but, the main thing is we wanted to keep participation up in the community throughout the year, and not just for one posting season. We also wanted to provide options for people to participate if the yearly challenge doesn't fit their schedule.

So, the idea we have it this: Monthly Genre Challenge, based on a comment-fic/prompting style. The rules would be easy, with dates approximate per month:

>> 1st weekday of the month: Open a genre post for members to comment with movies that fit that genre. (i.e. "Slasher Fics" is the genre and members prompt Friday the 14th, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Halloween, etc.)
>> 4th day of the month: prompting closes and members can claim the movies they want to write/art/podfic/etc.
>> 25th-30th: fanarts are freely posted for this genre.
>> 1st day of next month: New genre post opens!
